This website is run by DBS Digital. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We've also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

Compliance status

The website has been tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard. This website is fully compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard.

Regular accessibility testing

Each improvement to our service, no matter how small, goes through accessibility testing.

We look at how each change affects the code, content and interactions within our service. But our primary focus is the end-to-end experience presented to a user.

To cover off a variety of user experiences, for each iteration we test:

  • using a keyboard instead of a mouse
  • changing browser settings to make content easier to read
  • using a screen reader to ‘read’ (speak) content out loud
  • using a screen magnifier to enlarge part or all of a screen
  • using voice commands to navigate a website

To test for accessibility compliance, we use a combination of assistive technology and system preference settings.

We aim to ensure that users are able to perform the required tasks and that the experience is simple to use.

We understand the need to think about the different ways users interact with our service.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

Where we have identified opportunities to improve accessibility, we will list them and the work we are doing to address them on this page.
